A: You may modify any part of your listing including descriptions, photos, calendars and rates simply by logging into your online user account. Vacation Realty has a very intuitive user interface which guides you through every step of the listing, editing and modifying process. You may also contact us anytime by clicking "Helpdesk" inside your account. We will be more than willing to assist you with your listing process.
Q: How Do I Update My Availability Calendar?
A: You may update your calender at anytime by logging into your online account. Once you are inside your account click "Manage Calendar". Once your calendar is visible, simply click the desired dates that you would like to make unavailable or available. The system will immediately update your calendar to display your recent changes. Note: There are no "Save" buttons required to be clicked to update your calendar.
Q: Can I Use A Third Party Availability Calendar?
A: Alternatively, if you would prefer to use a third party availability calendar service (such as renters.org), click on "Manage Calendar" inside your account. Once you have done this, simply enter the website address to your calendar (eg: http://www.address.com) and click save. This will automatically update your calendar to forward to your third party calendar service.
Q: How Do I Upload My Property Photos?
A: Uploading property photo's is easy! Simply login to your account and select the option "Manage Photos". From here you may upload, delete or arrange your photos in the order that you choose. Note: Once you have reached your maxium photos allowed, you will be required to delete a photo before you can add a new one.
Q: How Do I Arrange My Property Photos?
A: You may arrange your property photos at anytime by logging into your account and clicking "Manage Photos". To change the order of photos for your listing, click and drag your photos vertically. The first will be the main photo for your property listing. This photo will also be the photo that is displayed in search results.
Q: How Do I Receive Online Inquries?
A: You will receive an online inquiry when a traveler visits your listing page and clicks 'email the owner'. Here the traveler may ask you further questons regarding your property or schedule a stay. This inquiry will be forwarded to the email address on file in your account. You will also get a copy of this inquiry inside your "Inbox". This inbox is also located inside your account. You may reply to the inquiry from your email address, or you may reply to the inquiry directly from the recorded copy in your account. Either way, the from: address will always come from your email address on file.
Q: How Do I Set My Property Rental Rates?
A: You may set your rental rates by logging into your account and clicking "Manage Rates". This will enable you to edit the rates and desired currencies that you wish to display on your property details page. You may also set taxes, cleaning, deposits and other associated fees.
Q: What Are User Testimonials?
A: This feature enables you to accept feedback from previous renters. This feedback is rated on a scale of 1-5 and displayed on your property details page. It is also displayed by showing "Rating Stars" next to your listing throughout our website and search results pages. Testimonials are a great way to catch the attention of future renters browsing our network. You may disable testimonials completely, or disable testimonials individually at anytime.
Q: Can I Have More Than 1 Listing In My Account?
A: Absolutely, you may have an unlimited number of listings in your account at anytime. You may also update those listings at any time individually by selecting the desired listing. Each listing is treated individually so any changes you make to that listing will only affect that particular listing. All updates are realtime and are displayed immediately. This includes property description changes, photo arrangements, rental rates and availability calendars.
Q: Can I Link To A Personal Website?
A: Each listing is given access to link to another website. Keep in mind we monitor outbound links from our website on a daily basis. Each owner / manager is required to ensure the accuracy of the link they provide on their property listing page. The link will be encrypted but will redirect to the website address that you choose. Note: Unrelated links or advertising other websites from our network is strictly prohibited. We reserve the right to cancel your account if we find the linked content to be unsuitable for travelers visiting your listing pages.
