About Vacation Rentals in Illinois

Vacations are not all about fun in the sun. A good vacation would have all the elements of life itself – and that's exactly what Illinois gives you. Cultural attractions, shopping opportunities and family fun abound everywhere along with the outdoor bone rattling fun a serious adventurer craves. Some of the best museums are based in Illinois, particularly in Chicago, encompassing different facets of arts, science, and history. One of the best examples would be the Dana Thomas House State Historic Site. It's a home designed and built by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1902-04. The house would provide you an understanding of Wright's early Prairie-style residential work. The home is preserved exactly the way it was in the early 1900s, right down to the windows and art-glass doors, more than 200 art-glass light fixtures and sconces, and the 100 pieces of Wright-designed furniture and decorative art.

But most important of all historic sites would be the Abraham Lincoln Home in Springfield. It's part of the Lincoln Home National Historic Site and is restored to its 1860s appearance. On a different note, the outdoor attractions of Illinois are equally exciting. The Parks, one of which is Galena, give you freedom to pursue different outdoor activities, including canoeing, kayaking, biking, hiking, camping, ballooning, cross-country skiing, and horseback riding. The landscape includes scenic lakes, rivers, forests, grasslands, and wetlands. These are of course habitats housing an abundance of wildlife. It's quite impossible to get tired of anything in Illinois, what with the Illinois vacation rentals offering you great hospitality.
