About New York

The state that includes arguably the most famous city in the world, New York has more than enough urban attractions to baffle you. The biggest cities of the New York State are New York City, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and Albany. New York City would easily eclipse all the cities of the State of New York though Rochester offers a more family oriented vacation. Families love this city for the museums, shopping, cultural extravaganzas and sporting pleasures. But if architectural marvels, neighborhoods, urban attractions, and a slice of the diversity of life are what you crave, New York City in New York State is the one which delivers. On thinking of New York, the attractions that come to mind are the Empire State and Chrysler Buildings, the Statue of Liberty, Rockefeller Center, Times Square, the Bronx Zoo, Staten Island Ferry, and Brooklyn Bridge. 

There's always a museum to check out, or a Broadway show to attend. Sporting events take place regularly, as do cultural performances. New York City is divided into boroughs – Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island. Bronx isn't located on an island, as is much of New York City, and is the northernmost point of New York City. Chief attractions here are the Bronx Zoo, the famous botanical garden, the “Little Italy” neighborhood, historic attractions, beaches, City Island which resembles a New England fishing village, etc. The borough of Manhattan is home to all the world famous New York City skyscrapers. The state of New York also provides you trips that revolve around a slower pace of life. Away from the bustling New York City, you can enjoy golf, fishing, boating, and other outdoor recreational activities in other locations in New York State.
